1. Introduction

Welcome to Plately. This policy explains how data is handled when you use the app.

2. Data collection

Plately does not ask for an account or collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email address or location. Recipe data, meal plans and shopping lists are stored on your device and may be synced through your personal iCloud account. We cannot access your iCloud data.

3. Third-party services

Plately uses Firebase Core, Firebase Functions and Firebase App Check to provide server features and protect them from abuse. These services may process device or diagnostic information for security, performance and abuse prevention. See the Google Privacy Policy for details.

4. Use of data

Your personal cookbook remains on your device and, when enabled, in your iCloud account. Server features process the information needed to return the result you request.

5. In-app purchases

Purchases are handled by Apple. We do not receive your billing details.

6. Security

Firebase App Check helps protect backend access so server features can be used by legitimate instances of Plately.

7. Your choices

You can manage locally stored app data by editing or deleting it in Plately. You can manage iCloud data through your Apple ID settings.

8. Updates

This policy may change as Plately, its services or legal requirements evolve.
